Anime = Mind Blown

Hello my dear anime fans! Today’s review in Anime=Mind Blown section well be about an anime that looked pretty stereotype and boring to me at first but changed my mind entirely when I finally started watching the character developments. I will be talking about the rom-com anime “Toradora!”

Genre:  Romance/Comedy/slice of life

The title Toradora! is derived from the names of the two main characters Taiga Aisaka and Ryūji Takasu. Taiga sounds like tiger in English, and tiger in Japanese is tora and Ryūji means dragon in Japanese, and written as doragon in Japanese.

Plot: 7.5/10

The main male character, Ryūji Takasu is a seventeen-year-old high school student in his second year.Due to the fact that he has scary looking eyes make him look like an intimidating delinquent and is the cause of many misunderstandings. Ryūji lives with his single mother, his father having left before he was born. Because of this, Ryūji has learned to be self-sufficient. One day he was assigned to the same class as his best friend Yūsaku Kitamura, as well as the girl he has a crush on, Minori Kushieda. However, it is then that he finds Taiga Aisaka the female protagonist—who just happens to also be in his class. She has a well-regulated and beautiful appearance, but dislikes the company of others, with the exception of her best friend Miniori Kushieda. Due to her name, tendency to snap fiercely at others, and short stature, she is given the nickname "Palmtop Tiger".

Despite coming from a well-to-do family, her life with them was very difficult because of various problems. She lived with her father and step-mother and constantly fought with them,eventually moving out and living on her own. She is coincidentally living in an apartment next to Ryūji's. When Ryūji discovers that Taiga has a crush on Yūsaku, and Taiga finds out about Ryūji's affections towards Minori, Ryūji suggests that they cooperate to win the objects of their affections. Taiga exploits the fact that Ryūji will do anything to get closer to Minori.

So this is the point when the story begins but the end is not really very unpredictable. Despite the predictable things and usual rom-com stuffs in this anime the story progress and the characters were really amazing. The fact you can predict the end will not for a single moment will stop you from watching the entire 25 episodes and feeling like a 13 year old with surges of different kind of motions in your heart.

 I will personally rate the character development, comedy facts and romance (couldn’t help but be mesmerized by the romance) as 9/10 and the series worth watching and fan-girling for!
