Netflix and Chill

Hey everyone! Welcome back to "Netflix and Chill", where we cover reviews of various movies and series. Here, we will cover some of the best movies which managed not to be on the spotlight. This time, we are going to talk about the recently released Action movie Point Break.

Genre: Action/Crime/Sport
If you're looking for a mashup of Action and Sports, this is the movie for you. Primarily an Action movie, Point Break also holds glimpses of crime and a huge display of various sport including paragliding, snow skiing, surfing etc. Join Johnny Utah(Luke Bracey) as he infiltrates a criminal group of thrill seekers in order to bring them to justice.

Plot: 7/10
A young FBI agent infiltrates an extraordinary team of extreme sports athletes he suspects of masterminding a string of unprecedented, sophisticated corporate heists. Deep undercover, and with his life in danger, he strives to prove these athletes are the architects of the mind-boggling crimes that are devastating the world's financial markets.

Although a rather uncommon story line, the story does feel rather generic and often times predictable. But, the action and the story line itself is somewhat rather interesting to boot.

Characters: 5/10
Unfortunately, this is where the movie falls short. The cast choice and overall performance feels quite bland and, dare I say, tasteless.
The movie does seem to fail to uphold the purpose or meaning of the story, and the characters are no exception.

Overall, a movie I wouldn't highly recommend for the "Must Watch" list for all movie fans, but I still would recommend it for those thrill seeking viewers who prefer a bit of twist as well. After all, if you think this is another "Hero beats villain, hero wins" story, then this movie will surprise you.
